Elizabeth — 21 Sep "The best Holiday Rental Cottage we have ever had- it was everything you could ask for, especially at this time when you do not want to meet a lot of people.
There are walks direct from the cottage, up to the ruined Pictish Fort, and through the woods, a walk down to the village of North Kessock which is lovely and has everything you will need, and the display put on by the Red Squirrels outside the patio doors is amazing. Morning and evening they were there sitting munching the nuts and dashing around after each other, or playing up and down the trees. We would go back again, and we will recommend it to our friends and family members. Lynn — 19 Sep "Great cottage set in beautiful surroundings.
Spotlessly clean with everything you could possibly need for a quiet relaxing holiday to recharge you batteries. Watching the red squirrels from the patio doors was a delight". Mhairi — 16 Aug "Really enjoyed our stay at squirrel cottage. It was well equipped, clean and spacious. Lots to do on Black Isle and beyond.
Clare — 13 Aug "We had a lovely time at Squirrel Cottage; the red squirrels appeared on Any girls who arent North Kessock first morning! A lovely location in the woods, with nice local walks but not too far from town. The cottage was lovely and clean and comfortable, a perfect base from which to explore Scotland. The host rang us beforehand to go through everything which was really nice, so we knew what to expect.
I would definitely recommend. Nick — 16 Oct "Lovely cottage living up to its name. Warm and well kept. Elizabeth — 22 Sep "It was fantastic. Would recommend to anyone who would just like to get away and have peace and quite. Just be aware EE phone al is very spotty and none at all in the cottage. No wifi either so communication with the outside world was a challenge. Lots to do around the area if you would like days out. Becky — 26 Aug "Fantastic well equipped cottage. A little secluded but not far from the city of Inverness. Very clean. Lots of birds, red squirrels and other wildlife come to the various feeders the owner has out around the garden.
The garden is fantastic and the owner let our two girls go anywhere in her land exploring. Brilliant holiday and worth the mile drive! Simon — 20 Aug "Well named cottage. Spent most breakfasts watching the squirrels. Great cottage, great location if you like a little solitude. Within 5 mins of Inverness and a great base for exploring the highlands. Margaret — 15 Aug "First class accommodation set in lovely grounds very peacful". Confirmed guest — 4 Aug "Lovely cottage in a beautiful setting.
Alan — 8 Jul "Cottage was in a pleasant and quiet location. Pretty much everything you needed on site was there - EG washing machine, fridge, TV, tumble dryer etc. We have a large car and parking was excellent next to the cottage.
The cottage is only a few minutes drive from Inverness City which has excellent facilities as regards shopping, places to eat etc The hosts offered to get basic provisions for us which was a kind offer. They also left carnations in the vase and a bottle of wine which was kind although we don't drink.
Communication with the host was via text and was easy although we never met the vendors. With light nights up north we noted the curtains in the bedroom didn't block out the light. So had to go and buy a travel blackout blind. Infact the curtains in the living room were better blackouts than those in the bedrooms which seemed the wrong way around.
